Take PRIDE in Your PC with ASUS - Share Your Story: PC Users Invited to Show PRIDE and Share Their Motherboard Stories

ASUS launches interactive competition to find the ultimate motherboard manipulators

Every ASUS motherboard has a story worth sharing. Today ASUS announced the launch of a brand new competition, PRIDE, offering users the opportunity to share their motherboard stories with the world. PRIDE stands for Performance, Reliability, Innovation, Design and Efficiency. PC aficionados from across the world can reveal their PRIDE starting 1st November 2010 and compete against others to win an impressive array of prizes.

“ASUS knows what customers look for in a motherboard, and we invest in research and development to ensure we deliver PRIDE with each and every motherboard,” said Jackie Hsu, Corporate Vice President & GM, Global sales. “This competition is all about inspiring and being inspired by people who have done incredible things with their ASUS motherboards, as well as showing how innovative technology can be.”

The competition starts in the UK on 1st November, 2010. This is a global campaign that will accept entries from all over the world, but start dates vary according to geographical location, so please check http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/pride for each country PRIDE competition and entry submission dates.

To enter, users need only share their stories of how they’ve used ASUS technology to achieve amazing things. They can choose to submit either a video or photographs, and then select the PRIDE category of their choice.

The categories are Performance, Reliability or Innovation/Creativity, and users must write a short story explaining how their entry fits into their chosen category. Grand prizes include local 1st Place in each category: ASUS next generation Motherboard + Intel© next generation chipset/CPU* and ASUS ML monitor, ASUS RT-N56U black diamond router for local winners, to global prizes, such as the latest ROG 3D notebook (G73) or an all expenses** paid trip to ASUS headquarters in Taiwan to meet up with one of the world’s top overclockers, the ASUS R&D team, and much more for global winners.

To enter the competition, visit http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/PRIDE and submit your entry before midnight 23:59 (GMT) on 16th December 2010 to be eligible. Entrants can gain international recognition for their innovative and impressive stories and win fantastic prizes. Plus, anyone who takes part in the international voting (from 5th January 2011) will have an opportunity to win other great ASUS prizes in the second round.

The top three to six winners from each qualifying country will be selected and announced on 5th January 2011. The fan favourite vote for the regional winners starts 5th January 2011 at http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/PRIDE with the final vote closing on 17th January 2011.

*Next Intel chipset refers to the chipset that is going to be released in early Jan 2011

**All expenses trip includes: Round trip airfare from your country of origin to Taiwan and 4 nights hotel accommodation fee, plus airport pick up to hotel (return). However, it does not include daily expenses that might occur.
